At LBC, we want to make it easy for you to jump in and worship on Sundays. We believe a big part of this is coming to Sunday service prepared! Each week, we provide the sermon text, some discussion questions, the songs we will sing, and anything else we think you need to know to prepare your heart to worship the Lord this Sunday!
This week we are continuing our series in the book of Acts!

Last Sunday, we heard from Acts 2:14-41. Pastor Mike shared three promises fulfilled: the promise of the Holy Spirit, the risen Christ, and life for all who believe!
This week, we're excited to continue our series in Acts, with Pastor Mike preaching 2:42-47!
Sermon Text:
Acts 2:42-47
42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Discussion Questions:
1. This passage describes the fellowship of the early church. What is central to their fellowship?
2. What does it mean to devote yourself to the teaching and the fellowship? How can we devote ourselves to the teaching of God's word and to the fellowship at LBC?
3. Where do we see the church fulfilling the command to "bear one another's burdens?"
4. How was hospitality practiced in the life of the early church?
